When was the last time you beheld such a sight?

Most people don't even bow or kneel when in front of the Lord in the Blessed Sacrament or during Communion.

Most EMHCs don't even bow!

This is the communion of the priest in the Traditional Latin Mass.  Servers and the people bow down while the priest who offered Christ receives Him.

Did Vatican II remove this?

No I don't think so.  But why are we not doing it anymore?

Pray tell, why?

PS:  That is one SPLENDID PHOTO.  Tip to the people in the photo.

PRINT, FRAME, DISPLAY.

  3. I think this is the Second Confiteor, the one recited before the reception of the Holy Communion..

    1. It is not the second Confiteor as those standing and bowing at the side are not the deacon and subdeacon. This is the communion of the priest. The place where the servers say the second Confiteor would be at the foot of the altar and they do it kneeling.

  4. Majestic altar, but is it biblical to bow down on an image?
